Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening brings you confidence and a winning smile. Everyone wants that, but is it right for you? There are some very important things that should be considered.

  • During teeth whitening teeth can respond differently, depending on the initial hue of the teeth. Yellowish hued teeth respond much better than brownish-colored and grayish-hued teeth. Caps, veneers or bonded teeth cannot be whitened or altered with the bleaching process.
  • Teeth whitening is safe, because the bleaching substance that is used does not soften enamel or existing fillings. Teeth whitening can be done in our office in one or two sessions, or at home using a tray filled with a mild bleaching agent.
  • Most people experience significant change in the whiteness of their teeth, though results vary by individuals.
  • Once the whitening process is finished it is necessary to maintain “the new smile”. Brush your teeth twice a day, and visit your dentist on a regular basis for cleaning and check-ups. Repeat whitening on a regular basis.
